Features

The training course is available on the Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
It lasts about four hour and a half.
You can take the whole course at once or split it into several sessions.

The training course is thought for anyone who installs, configures, and maintains MDaemon.
It is a technical course, rather thorough.
A basic competence on protocols and Windows operating systems is recommended, in order to better appreciate the course.

Current version of the training course is about MDaemon 9.
The online course also provides an in-depth guide to the new functionalities of MDaemon 9: it explains how to synchronise MDaemon with Active Directory and with handhelds, and describes the new functionality of WorldClient designed to manage meetings.

During the course the attendee can take eleven intermediate tests, that summarize each section; at the end it is possible to take the final test: 50 multiple choice questions to answer in thirty minutes.

And now a few words on the content of the course.

  • Following a brief presentation of the characteristics of MDaemon, you will be given a functional illustration of the most common architectures in which MDaemon operates.
  • We will then show you how to install the product.
  • Then, we will examine the architectures in more detail, showing you the relative MDaemon configuration.
  • After this, we will systematically illustrate the MDaemon user interface.

As aforesaid, at the end of the principal sections of the course you can take a brief test on the subjects covered. The course finishes with a 50-question multiple choice test, which you have 30 minutes to complete.

Requirements

You can attend the course with your Web browser.

The browser has to be Internet Explorer 5.5 or above, or Netscape 6.2 or above.

Screen resolution must be at least 800x600.

During the whole course you have to be connected to the Internet. As for the speed of the connection there are theoretically no limits, but we recommend at least a 64 kbit/sec line.
The preview of the course is composed by some slides taken form the course: you can use it to make sure your line is fast enough.

You need audio devices to listen to the voice of the trainer.
